Tension: Build a Bigger, Stronger You With Resistance Band Training
If you want strength, size, and mobility gains from home – without overly complex BW exercises or a homegym… then you need to read this.
Because here’s the truth:
If you train correctly with resistance bands, you get these results automatically. The problem is that most fitness apps and online video programs want you to do ridiculous exercises that are a waste of time.
This is different.
You’ll learn the exercises you need, routines that work, and the explanation of why they’re so good!
This guide only covers things that have been tried and tested. It’s backed by science AND first-hand experience.
You don’t need access to a gym – all you need is a set of resistance bands, no additional equipment required.
You don’t need loads of time – 20 mins a few times a week is enough to see progress as long as you put in the effort!
You don’t need a new routine every 3 weeks – you can run this program for years and keep getting results!
You don’t need to spend months learning advanced bodyweight exercises. Bodyweight training works, the issue is that as you get stronger you have to progress to harder variations. The time spent learning is time you could have spent getting stronger.
Gives you EVERYTHING you need to build strength and size.
Here’s a sample of some of the things covered:
How to become the strongest you’ve ever been… without leaving your house.
The minimalist ‘Super Six’ resistance band routine.
How to bust through lifting plateaus using resistance bands.
A bodybuilding secret to unlock crazy growth – say hello to boulder shoulders and a back like the Himalayan mountains.
And much more.
In case it wasn’t clear this guide is hyper-focused on getting you the most bang for your buck. It’s not aimed at someone looking for an easy home workout. Training with heavy resistance bands can get you amazing results, but only if you put in the work.
I’m fed up seeing people saying resistance bands don’t work… I want you to succeed at becoming bigger, stronger, more mobile, and injury-proof.
Why should you trust me?
I’ve been involved in a variety of strength sports for over a decade. Everything from freerunning, climbing, powerlifting, gymnastics, and martial arts. I’ve spent the last few years focusing on stone lifting. I’ve lifted the fabled 330kg Dinnie Stones, as well as several of the other named Scottish stones.
Resistance bands have been a key part of my training for several years. I attribute a huge amount of my back strength to using them regularly.
Recent events have forced me to make them the main focus of my training. I adopted what I’d been doing previously and set to work. Fast forward a few months… I was wearing a shirt I hadn’t worn recently when my wife said “your back is looking huge, what have you been doing?”
You can get similarly impressive gains.
I challenge you to commit to the basic routine for 12 weeks. Put in the work, follow the program, and results are inevitable!

This book got me back into working out and I feel amazing
I used to lift some weights at home but it was hard to stick to a routine. My friend recommended me this book and it’s been an amazing guide.I picked up a set of resistance bands and haven’t looked back. You can really feel the muscles under tension the whole time unlike with weights.Highly recommend this book!

clear and short and what you want
He puts the exercises first! thinking about what we all want, but his commentary is short and helpful as well… if only more were like him

EXCELLENT Simplicity
Well written and very informative. I enjoyed the simplicity of the instructions. Great examples on how to perform the exercises. Starting with a light band and focusing on form to decrease injury is excellent advice.

If you want to introduce resistance band training in your workout routine, this is a good book to start with.* Backed with science (references are indeed available).* Pictures show how certain exercises work.* Talks about common mistakes and how to avoid them.* It’s so readable, even children can read it quickly.Big thumbs up.

To start, I have a small amount of resistance band knowledge. I usually use a resistance band for a little bit of shoulder mobility in the morning and as part of my pre-workout warm up. I’ve never really considered using them for much more than improving mobility. This book has given me a lot of good information to start implementing bands into my actual workout routine, with a handful of well explained useful exercises. It gives you the correct form description, where you should feel the muscles working, progressions, injury prevention tips etc. I gave a few of them a try this morning and really enjoyed them. I look forward to seeing the progress over the next few months. All in all a very informative start for resistance band training.

For the past year or two, I had been sporadically working out with resistance bands. I usually relied on various youtube videos for help. Most of the time, however, I still had no idea if what I was doing was even correct if I’m being honest.I’m so pleased I decided to check out this book instead. What I appreciate the most is that the mentioned exercises feature images, providing you with clear instructions on how to use the bands — super helpful for a newbie such as myself. If you’re like me and used to video instructions, do yourself a favor and read this book for a change. It gave me the knowledge I needed to do my exercises the right way (and not just wing it).Bonus: I enjoyed the straightforward, no-nonsense style of writing, makes for an easy read!

Having put on some weight over lockdown I thought it was about time to get into something new which is how I came across resistant bands… The only problem was actually working out how to optimally use them! This book is perfect for this giving clear, simple and easy to follow guidance on how to get the most out of the bands. Having had test run today, looking forward to implementing what I’ve learnt into my home workouts going forward!
