Unlock your inner maker through 20 awesome step-by-step projects

Lightsaber Duel
Face your enemy in a Jedi battle. The lightsaber is an energy sword with a glowing plasma blade used by the Jedi and some of their enemies.

Laser Light Shows
Fog and smoke machines are often used so you can see laser light beams. Much like the milk added to water, the tiny particles in fog and smoke reflect the laser light making it more visible at concerts and events.

Attack or Defense?
Traditionally, lightsabers are the weapon of the Jedi, used for defense rather than attack. However, General Grievous collects lightsabers from Jedi he has defeated and can use four at a time to attack his enemies!

Such a fun book!
My 6-year-old creative son LOVES this book. It was his favorite from our local library, so I ordered it for his birthday. Excited to try some of these projects and work them into our homeschooling activities!*Unfortunately, the photos are of the first copy I received that was damaged with black paint splatter on the cover and torn pages (sold by FindAnyBook). Amazon refunded me and I was able to order another copy that was in new condition as advertised (sold by Marlton Books).

Incredible Book
We buys lots of books being homeschoolers. Most of them are excellent. This one tops the charts. If you have a Star Wars fan in the house buy this book. The projects contain chemistry and physics and mechanics principal experiments. Plus the supplies are inexpensive! Each project links the movie to real life. And the directions are clear and easy to follow. It’s a superb book.

Fun and practical Star Wars projects with science facts
Richly illustrated book with 20 creative projects. Every project gives concise instructions with accurate descriptions of all the materials needed. My personal favorite is Anakin’s Mechno-arm, a simple to perform project that allows a youngster to build a working artificial arm with fingers that actually flex! Hidden throughout the book are side bars with real technical information. I would think this book is appropriate for children as young as five, but also as old as Junior high… and even for the adult Star Wars nerd !

Some fun ideas
This book has some fun ideas. I wish there were more craft books that involve reusable rebuild-able materials. Consumables work in small classrooms, or with individuals, but I have 450 students that come in all day– every day- all week long. I can’t stock, store, or manage multiple consumable craft supplies for weekly one–off crafts. I am continually looking for new ideas and things that serve a purpose, or can be related to S.T.E.A.M.- that can be built, disassembled, and rebuilt in 45 minute class rotations.

Bought this gift for my 5yo son. He loves it. It’s a bit complicated for him to do alone but we have been having a blast working on these projects together.

We bought this book for our Star Wars crazy seven year old grandson, knowing that we’d probably have to help him with some of the activities. We’ve done a couple of the projects and are busy equipping a “kit” to use for others. He loves the book and its graphics and he loves the projects; he’s even been reading the snippets from Star Wars scenes – very helpful as he learns to read. My husband, Grandpa, is having a great time working with our grandson on the projects and, as a result, I’d say that the book is good for all ages of school aged children through adulthood. We both highly recommend this book.
